The Senator representing Abia North at the National Assembly, Orji Uzor Kalu says, he will turn his Abia North state constituency into an El Dorado.
Kalu stated this Saturday at Ihechiowa in Arochukwu LGA, on the occasion of 2023 Ata Igbo Ukwu Umuzombgo Autonomous Community, Ihechiowa in Arochukwu LGA new yam festival, stating that he is doing more roads in the area than Eze Mba recalled.
Represented by an aide, Dr. Maduka Okoro, Kalu “the three roads are nothing compared with what he has been doing for the people of Ihechiowa and my Abia North constituency. I am going to do more.
The federal lawmaker used the opportunity to note, “enthronement of agriculture in Nigeria will mean more food for Nigerians, hunger reduction and food security”.
He said he is also doing a 2-kilometre road in Okpo Ihechiowa, assuring, “I am going to bastardize this Abia North constituency with more roads between now and 2025. Abia North will become an El Dorado”.
Earlier in his address, HRH Eze Sir Linus Nto Mba, the Eze Udo 1 of Ata Igbo Ukwu Autonomous Community, and Chairman, Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers commended Kalu for roads construction in the area.
“Permit me to use this opportunity, to salute the distinguished Senator, representing Abia North, His Excellency, Chief Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu (Ikenga 1 of Ata Igbo Ukwu) for the construction of Atani Ihechiowa ring road, Obinto-Uburu Arochukwu Road and Umuzomgbo – Okpo road.
“Work is still in progress in Okpo Ihechiowa. We pray he would complete them in no distance time to enable our people have access road, to convey our agricultural produce.
“We are really appreciative, of his quality representation at the Senate”, he said.
