It was an atmosphere of grief at Amakpoke Umuaku Isuochi in Umunneochi LGA, as the twin sister of the late singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu, Mrs Amarachi Endurance Ume narrated the last moments of her twin sister before she died.

Amarachi disclosed that few moments before her sister died, that the sister handed over a microphone to her in a dream.

Reading her biography, Amarachi whose husband had constantly wiped tears from her eyes during the occasion explained “Osinachi Nwachukwu got hooked into marriage with Peter Nwachukwu which was consummated on the 31st of August, 2008.

“The marriage was a share manipulation. This denied her peace, joy, care and almost the good things of life through the domestic maltreatment by the so called husband, Mr. Peter nwachukwu.

Her death occurred on the 8th of April, 2022 and is still under police investigation due to the alleged domestic violence against her by Peter Nwachukwu.

“Even before her death, all efforts were made to pull Osinachi out, but she believed that Peter would change”.

All efforts to get Amarachi and his brother, Joseph Eze to talk to PUNCH were not possible as they refused to speak..

However, the mother, Madam Ezinne Caroline Madu described the demise of her first child as sorrowful.

“Osinachi, your death is a grief, sorrow and pains. You have died to bring many good fruits and healing of wounds to your generation”, she said and when asked for her comment she said that since the matter is in the court, that she would not be saying anything, adding, “her death is so painful”.

In her speech after handing over to her the Certificate of Incorporation of Osinachi foundation by the family, the member representing Isukwuato/Umunnechi at the house of Representative, Rt. Hon. Nkeiru Onyejeocha said it is hard to believe that Osinachi is dead adding, “unfortunately, she had to pass through what she passed through before she died. She is God’s own daughter and now singing for the Angels and for her family”.

According to Onyejeocha, “Christ is coming and people are seeing war in their door steps. All these are written in the bible.

“If we wait for Nigeria to be saved, we need God. The security (agencies) are doing well, but Nigeria must go back to God and surrender their lives to Him”, she said and urged people to use Osinachi’s death to reconnect to God and urged her children, and siblings to look up to God.

The House of Representative member assured that she will take up the school fees of Osinachi’s children up to the university level and warned those that would run the foundation not to politicize the foundation and must be accountable.

She prayed that Osinachi’s children will be in a better marriage, adding “anyone using the foundation contrary to its purpose will suffer”.

Fielding questions from PUNCH later, Hon. Onejeocha said since the matter relating to Osinachi’s death is in the court, that she expects that the court will judge the matter according to the evidence before it.

Also speaking with PUNCH, the member representing Umunneochi in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Okey Igwe said “Osinachi has become lager in death than in life time”, adding that Osinachi is now singing with Angels in heaven, expressing his happiness that “heaven is now rejoicing” and expressed his condolences to the aged mother, children, Umunneochi people, Abia State and the entire Nigeria.

Earlier in his homily, Pastor Ipila Solomon, the Regional Pastor (South East), Dunamis International Gospel said that after life, comes death and that all will then give account of his or her life journey on earth.

“Therefore, to have eternity, one must accept Jesus Christ as Lord and saviour. Repentance turns all away from sin”, Pastor Ipila preached.

The family explained that the Osinachi Foundation, whose certificate was received on Friday, will take care of and support men, women and children to reach their “capacities” in life and thanked Rt. Hon. Onyejeocha for her interface with the Minister of Women Affairs over the matter.

The family said that because of her intervention, the Federal Government has taken up the prosecution of the matter in the court, while the President General of Amakpoke Autonomous Community, Chief Geoffrey Eke described Osinachi’s death as “horrible and painful”.

According to the representative of Umunneochi LGA and Secretary to the Umunneochi LGA, Barr Uba Onyekachi Peter, the death of Osinachi is a sad and painful news and the entire LGA is losing her.

He assured that the council will see what to do to assist the foundation that is in her name.

Late Osinachi Chimdindu Esther was born alongside her twin sister, Amarachi to the family of late Pastor Moses and Mrs Caroline Madu of Amakpoke Umuaku Isuochi in Umunneochi LGA, of Abia state, before being married to Peter Nwachukwu of Nnewi in Anambra State.

She was buried in her maiden home Amakpoke Umuaku Isuochi in Umunneochi LGA, instead of Nnewi, and the reason could not be determined as at the time of filing of this report, even as no Nnewi man was identified at the burial.
The identical twin sister sang for her late sister.
