The senator representing Abia North Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Orji Uzor Kalu has continued to receive commendations over community roads and other infrastructure he has been delivering to his constituents.
A community leader in Akanu Ohafia in Ohafia local government area of Abia State and President, Action Youths of Ohafia, Goodluck Uduma Ibe made this commendation Tuesday in a chat with select newsmen were accessing Kalu’s projects in his constituency, stating that the swift completion of the only rural access road in the community is unprecedented in the history of Akanu in particular and Ohafia in general.
Ibe said Kalu has made significant contributions to the development of his constituency, descring the senator as one known for his charisma and dedication to serving his constituents.
“One notable instance that showcases his commitment is his visit to our community during his mid-term visit before his campaign where he promised to complete the road construction in the area. Today, we are happy that the road has been completed, with further assurance of more public infrastructures.
“We have seen the completion as a significant step towards enhancing our quality of life and economic opportunities. This feat will remain embedded in the memories of our Akanu Ohafia people.
“Kalu has leveraged on his influence to engaged with relevant stakeholders and the completion of the road project in Akanu Ohafia therefore, stands as a remarkable achievement in our community”.
The community leader said the once dilapidated and impassable road has now been transformed into a well-constructed and functional access road linking the community with its neighbours.
“This accomplishment has not only improved the lives of our people but has also facilitated trade, commerce, and social interactions in our area. We are immensely grateful for his unwavering commitment to the completion of the public infrastructure.
“The fulfillment of his pledge has demonstrated his integrity and dedication to serving the best interests of his constituents”, Ibe further said.
Ibe and other community elders noted that Kalu’s efforts have left an indelible mark on the community, and has earned him their respect and admiration, adding that his visit to Akanu Ohafia and the subsequent fulfillment of his promise has impacted on the welfare of the people which he represents.
This promise they said, has brought renewed hope to their community, as they have seen it as a significant step towards enhancing the quality of their lives and economic opportunities.
