The support for Mrs Kemafor Ibemere as the Secretary General ofNigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA staff Multipurpose Cooperative Society has gathered momentum as the Society goes to the polls at the Annual General Meeting on Thursday.
This indication filtered out recently as members have concluded a consensus agreement to vote for her after a consensus meeting that took place on the 2nd of July 2024 ahead of the poll that is coming up on Thursday, 4th of July 2024.
They described Mrs Ibemere as success-driven, a goal-getter and a personality that has the ability to get the job done effectively and efficiently too and expressed their confidence that under Ibemere’s watch as the Secretary General of the Cooperative, the body would witness the needed change in line with the present technology-driven global society.
According to a member of the Cooperative Society, Charles Ukeagu, there is the need for an urgent change in the Cooperative Society affairs for good, and he reminded the delegates of the need to join other progressive minds to embrace capacity.
“We are all supporters of Mrs Kemafor Ibemere’s ambition of being the next Secretary General of our great multipurpose cooperative. We already know the type of person we are supporting. We know her capacity, her character and commitment. We are calling on the remaining others to join us make a decisive effort and make this vision happen for our good and good of our cooperative “, Ukeagu passionately urged.
Some member of the cooperative society who preferred to speak on condition of anonymity said, “we have no alternative to Kemafor Ibemere as our Secretary General. Her track record is unprecedented and she is somebody we know very well that will deliver.
“She is exposed, widely read and knowledgeable in cooperative society affairs”
Reacting further to this development, Kemafor Ibemere’s supporters expressed their optimism that after the election, the cooperative will begin to wear a new look, as she will take the body to higher heights adding, “In Mrs Ibemere, we have character, we have commitment and we have capacity. We will be voting for capacity or nothing, come Thursday, July 4, 2024.
“Let us sacrifice and create the needed change. Let us join hands in making NIMASA staff multipurpose cooperative society a better place. Together we can”.
