Abia senators, including Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu, Sen. Theodore Ahamefule Orji, and Sen. Enyi Abaribe have expressed their sadness over the death of the wife of Sen. Mao Ohuabunwa who is their former colleague, Mrs. Nimi Faith Ohuabunwa.
According to the Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, Orji Uzor Kalu “As you mourn the death of your dear wife, on behalf of Abia North Senatorial District, I send you my heartfelt sympathy over this irreparable loss”, adding “It’s with a heavy heart that I received the news of your wife’s demise. The loss of a woman who was a significant part of your life, being the mother of your children, is particularly a deep pain to handle”.
The former Governor of Abia State and the immediate Senator representing Abia Central at the National Assembly, Chief Theodore Ahamefule Orji expressed his grief that Nimi Faith Ohuabunwa was the backbone of her husband, who is a Distinguished Senator of the Eight Senate and whose achievements as the former Leader, ECOWAS Parliament speaks volumes.
According to him in a condolence message signed by Hon. Ifeanyi Umuere, his Chief Liaison Officer, Sen. T. A. Orji said “Abia has lost one of the finest wives in the state and will continue to miss her”.
Also in his message, the senator representing Abia South Enyinnaya Harcourt Abaribe urged Sen. Mao Ohuabunwa to be strong as God knows why it is so.
“Her strong pillarship support for her husband will greatly be missed, not only by Mao, but all of us and the entire Abia State.
According to the Abia PDP Vice Chairman/Acting State Publicity Secretary, Hon. Elder Abraham Amah, the party was shocked over the sad news, stating, “the wife was a strong pillar to Mao Ohuabunwa who is one if us (PDP).
He prayed God to give the heart to bear the loss which he said is irreparable.
Senator Mao Ohuabunwa represented Abia North in the eight senate under the Peoples Democratic Party and the former Leader, ECOWAS Parliament.
