The founder, Christ Generational Church, Olokoro in Umuahia South LGA, Rev Dr. Precious Ibebunjo says prior to his repentance, he was a victim of repeated sickness.
Rev. Ibebunjo stated this yesterday on the occasion of his celebration of 30 years on the pulpit, disclosing that this was the situation, “even into the university level until I gave my life to Jesus Christ”.
He said that it was after that he was healed till date, stating, ” 30 years on the ministry is rigorous work for God is laborious but with reward”.
According to him, though within this period he may have made some mistakes, “but am happy that I am able to be where I am today by the mercy of God”
He regretted that 90% of churches today are prodigal and have lost themselves, adding “the greatest crime today is not committed by armed robbers, Boko Haram and so on, but by the church, having neglected the duty given to her. The church has to regain its stand”.
Rev. Ibebunjo who is also a school proprietor stated that the federal government is not really helping matters in its treatment of teachers, explaining that trachers now feeling degraded and lazy due to non-payment of salaries and allowances, hence series of examination malpractices adding “with concerted efforts, we will get there”.
Also speaking, the Proprietor of Apex Schools, Olokoro, Sir Matthew Ikechukwu Uzuegbu said “In Abia, the attention to education especially public schools has been lost and pupils been lost to private schools, who have taken over”.
He urged government at all levels to pay more attention to public schools so that pupils will find their futures like in public schools.
According to him, 30 years on the pulpit is not easy and encouraged the young ones to emulate Rev. Ibebunjo.
