To discourage agitations in Nigeria, zone Senate Presidency to South East – CSO tells Tinubu

The President – Elect, Bola Tinubu has been advised that zoning Senate Presidency to the South East would discourage continuous agitations all over the country, especially by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB and others in the North.

A Coalition of Civil Society Organization for Peace and Unity of Nigeria, handed down this advice in a press conference in Abuja and appealed to the President-Elect and all stakeholders of All Progressives Congress, APC in the country to zone the Presidency of the 10th Senate to the South East.

According to the Chairman of the coalition, Doctor Onwubuya Abraham Breakforth, “the south East has reputable senator capable for the Job.

“Zoning the Pesidency of the 10th Senate to South East would foster greater peace and unity in the country”.

Doctor, Breakforth, who alleged that the South East, geo – political Zone, has suffered unjust treatment in the political equation of the country said “it is only fair and just for the zone to produce the Senate president in the 10th Senate”
