Less than 24 hours to the Governorship/State Assembly Election in Abia State, the Allied Peoples Movement, APM has adopted the governorship candidate of the Labour Party, LP Dr. Alex Otti.
Addressing the press late Thursday night, the Governorship candidate of APM, Chikezie Anyim Uguru said this was following the resolution of the entire faithful of the party in the state, adding “we are fully mobilized to ensure victory as Otti has all it takes to deliver Abia State.
In the address he co-signed with Hon. Victor Umunna, the State Chairman, and the State Secretary of the party, Kenneth Ehiemere, the Governorship candidate, Uguru said the move was “to ensure that Abia is peaceful and to achieve unity in a United form”.
Uguru further described that Dr. Otti as viable to win and that Otti “has the ability, knowledge, education, and is well known in the state”.
He added, “If PDP has done well, I wouldn’t have come out to contest.
” PDP failed me and failed Abians in terms of development, while all the industries in the state are dead. But with Otti, Abia will Excel.
“PDP’s lack of development made Abia youths to engage in crimes”, he concluded.
