An Abia Peoples Democratic Party, PDP stakeholder and three-time Ikwuano/Umuahia House of Representative aspirant, John Kwubiri Nwadinobi Wednesday re-affirmed his stand in PDP, stating that he will be the last man standing in the party in the state.

Nwadinobi who arrived the state after a brief holiday outside after the last party primaries in the state, said he returned to participate in the forthcoming elections and to support the party candidates fully to ensure that the candidates win.

“I can only support PDP contestants at all levels in this election. As a stakeholder in PDP in Abia state, I know that fate has dealt some blows on the party in the state but we are adjusting and are presenting a strong front.

“We lost our last governorship candidate unexpectedly, but God has given us the strength to face the challenges”, he said.

According to him, PDP is tested and trusted, adding, “All we need to do is to upgrade our game. The older we grow, the better we become”.

Nwadinobi who thanked God over the emergence of Chief Okey Ahiwe as the party substantive guber candidate, expressed his total support for him, stating, “Ahiwe has the personality to win. He is a unique candidate and we will give him all he needs to win.

On his future political plans, Nwadinobi said, “I see PDP as a party that will rejuvenate and come up with a better competitive advantage. We will remain the number one party in the state.

“PDP will win the Presidency but if not, any other party that wins, needs the cooperation of PDP to survive” and advised Abians, “Come Saturday, it is PDP all the way” and urged voters to ensure they secure their votes afterwards”.

Asked why he didn’t emerge the party candidate in the party primaries he had participated in, the party chieftain said, “That is politics for you. In politics, expect the unexpected and accept the unexpected.

“Having not emerged, a good politician doesn’t cry over spilt milk and grievance is not a pathway to success. The best move is to re-strategize.

“I will be re-strategizing inside the PDP as we do not believe in a jump from one party to another”.
