Conducive learning atmosphere is critical for learning in all education sectors.
The Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, Orji Uzor Kalu stated this Friday while handing over brand new desks to Alayi Central School in Bende Local Government Area of the state.
Kalu said that his gesture was in line with his vision of promoting infrastructure development in communities as well as his massive investment in the education sector.
According to him, the project was part of his efforts to create a conducive atmosphere for learning and teaching across the Senatorial District, expressing his belief that the renovated classroom blocks, desks, solar street lights, educational materials he distributed and other projects attracted by him to the Senatorial District would be greatly valued and urged members of the communities to protect the facilities against vandalization.
Represented by Mr. Ndukwe Okereke, Kalu reaffirmed his decision to invest into the education sector, stating: “Education remains the bedrock of any development”.
Receiving the desks on behalf of the school, the school Headmistress, Mrs. Comfort Nmaju appreciated Sen. Kalu for his developmental strides in the education sector.
She informed that apart from the desks, “Senator Orji Kalu had earlier renovated blocks of classrooms in the school”.
Kalu has been doing many other projects in his constituency, including installation of solar powered street lights, construction and renovation of schools and roads, offering of scholarships for students within and outside Nigeria, among others.
He had assured his constituents of democracy dividend.
