The Abia State Police Command has assured residents of the state of a comprehensive and well-coordinated security arrangements over 2025 Eid ul Mawlid
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, PPRO DSP Maureen Chinaka, in behalf of the state Commissioner of Police, Danladi Isa in a statement said, “the Command assures the public of a comprehensive and well-coordinated security arrangements designed to guarantee the safety of all residents throughout the period of the celebration”.
The statement further stated, “in line with this commitment, officers and men of the Command are diligently engaged and security presence has been intensified in strategic locations, with proactive monitoring of public gatherings and events to ensure peace, harmony, and orderliness”.
While the command extends its felicitations to all Muslim faithful as they observe Eid-ul-Mawlid celebration, it urged Muslim faithful and the general public to remain vigilant and security-conscious.
“Members of the public are advised to promptly report any suspicious persons or activities to the Police to help nip crime at the bud”, the statement said.
“Your cooperation and vigilance are crucial in maintaining a safe and peaceful environment for all”, the command solicited.
Eid-ul-Mawlid, is observed in the third month of the Islamic calendar (Rabi’ al-Awwal), and commemorates the birth of Prophet Muhammad.
