Those that really matter when it comes to choice of selection of their House of Representative candidates in People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal constituency yesterday made an unscheduled visit to an aspirant, John Kwubiri Nwadinobi to assure of loyalty.
Of this number of 33 stakeholders, 28 are the “most sought after” vote casters that determines the selection of an aspirant that will become the party’s candidate.
Speaking, a leader of the Ikwuano stakeholders asked a pertinent question that is yet to be answered, “Why is Ohuhu in particular and Umuahia North party members always front themselves to deny their choice, Nwadinobi the chances of reaching his aspiration?”
According to the Ikwuano stakeholders, “This time, it is not going to be spoiler as usual. We are going to ensure that justice and fair play applies”, they said adding that their choice in Nwadinobi was borne out of the fact that it is the turn of Ohuhu in general and Nwadinobi in particular.
Similarly, the Umuahia South group revealed that some politicians outside Ohuhu has infiltrated the chances of Nwadinobi by buying forms for their cronies so that during the primaries, “Ohuhu votes will be atomized, and chances for Nwadinobi to emerged botched”.
They advised “Ohuhu should leave their family hatred, shun money and do the needful”.
Those from Umuahia North were not left out of the comments that what led to Nwadinobi to lose four years ago has started playing out again ‘as people have again started their ploy to ensure Ohuhu votes are divided.
“These people have been given money to buy forms but are not serious contenders, but spoilers”, they said and pledged their loyalties for Nwadinobi as “it is time to pay him back”
Responding, the PDP Ikwuano/Umuahia House of Representatives hopeful, John K. Nwadinobi informed them of his readiness to serve, stating “I am now convinced that my political ministry is now growing. We must put the round peg in the round hole in order to achieve the best for the constituency and the state. Let us begin to vote according to our conscience”.
He highlighted his aspiration in the House of Representatives, stating “how can one be shouting one Nigeria and yet distracting Nigerians? We will not surrender; we will not practice inequality. Ohuhu should have one consensus candidate to move forward”.
