A quiet but intentional political movement that is unfolding across Abia State, is the City Boy Movement, CBM, Abia Chapter, with a strong message and confidence of delivering President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, come 2027 elections.

Having completed the inauguration of its structures across all 17 Local Government Areas, what stands out is not just the scale, but the effort to build something that reaches people where it truly matters, at the grassroots.
As a result therefore, at the center of it all is a clear message of support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The Abia chapter has in a strong resolve, expressed strong confidence in its ability to deliver results in the coming presidential elections, describing itself as “one of the most structured chapters of the movement across the country”.
Under the leadership of Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, popularly known as Don Lulu, this level of organisation has taken a shape with clear direction and purpose – Tinubu must win in Abia.
As Director of the City Boy Movement in Abia, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe’s presence and coordination have been central to bringing the structure together across the state.
Across the three senatorial zones which includes Abia North, Abia Central, and Abia South, the movement didn’t stop at naming leaders of note at the top, it went deeper, setting up coordinators at the ward level and down to polling units, creating a structure that connects directly with communities in the state.
The movement also created a sense of identity on how each zone showed up, with members appear in coordinated uniforms; white for Abia North, black for Abia Central, and blue for Abia South, thus giving each zone its own presence while still moving as one.
Throughout this expansion process, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe has remained actively on ground, guiding the rollout and keeping everything aligned.
This resolution has given the impression of a movement that is not just announced, but truly being built step by step.
More than anything, what this moment reflects is real effort to organize, to connect, and to prepare.
With structures now in place from the state level down to the polling units, the City Boy Movement in Abia State is stepping forward with clarity and purpose, building a foundation that could shape its role in the state’s political journey going forward.
