Three Abia State University Uturu Medicine and Surgery students are feared dead while returning to Aba from the school’s induction of medical students.

The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC Abia State Commander, Fredrick Ogiden has since confirmed the incident stating that his men were at the accident scene shortly after the imcident, stating that the vehicle was an ash-coloured private Toyota Camry.

Reports have it that this happened at late hours of the day at the Okigwe axis of the Enugu-Umuahia Expressway as six of them who are mostly medical students went to Uturu to celebrate with their senior colleagues on their induction.

As at the of filing this report, “3 students have been confirmed dead, while 2 are extremely injured and are fighting for their lives right now in the hospital and one miraculously survived”.

In a video circulating online, men of the FRSC were seen at the scene discussing that it was due to over-speeding, while another video of those at the hospital showed one male student with his mouth cut in pieces, showing his teeth, another male student writing in pains with blood all over him and the corpse of a female student.

The driver was said to be cruising at a speed and lost control and the car summersaulted threetime, hitting a palm tree.

Efforts to contact Abia Police authorities for confirmation proved abortive as they were not picking the late calls.
