A prolific Abia politician and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN Etigwe Uwa has offered his strong prayer for the new administration in Abia under Dr. Alex Otti.
Etigwe Uwa who pleaded for support for the Abia governor from Abians, said, “Undoubtedly, 2023 was a challenging year. The harmonization of the exchange rate and the increase in fuel prices caused the cost of basic necessities to skyrocket, making life for the common man miserable.
“The security situation in our zone and other parts of the country continues to be a cause for concern. Fortunately, the 2023 elections ushered in a new government which has demonstrated a very strong commitment to the development of our dear state. We have observed and continue to observe progressive governance in several critical areas of development for which we are thankful.
“Our prayers are with the government of His Excellency Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, that they will stay the course and bring rapid development and prosperity to our state and its people. The expectations are high, and we pray that the requisite strength and wisdom needed to accomplish these tasks will not be lacking.
“I encourage all Abians to support and encourage the new administration, giving its officials time to perform. However, the government must recognize that as citizens, we will continue to hold them accountable through constructive criticism and the offering of alternative solutions to the state’s problems”.
The SAN who is of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA prayed for “breakthroughs, advancements, and success in all endeavors, leading to massive development of our dear God’s own State, Abia”.
He further extended his prayers for the year, 2024 to bring joy, fulfillment, peace, security, and prosperity to Abians.
