The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Presidential candidate in the forthcoming general elections, Abubarkar Atiku has concluded plans to galvanize support and votes for himself in the south east.
The Convener, All Igbo Youths For Atiku, Ukpai Emma Ukpai said the structure was formed to mobilize Igbo youths “to support the aspiration of Atiku” and to serve as a platform and strategy that the south east would use to vote for and support the candidate.
According to Ukpai, the structure stretches down to the voting units and grassroots, stating “the Atiku we all know is a unifier”.
Also speaking, the National Secretary in charge of the Directorate of All Atiku Support Group, and Secretary, All Igbo Youths For Atiku, Hon. Ifeanyi Umere disclosed that the Directorate will will manage all Atiku support and pro-groups in the south east.
“it will make all efforts to galvanize every possible vote and human resources to deliver Atiku in the south east.
“We are not based on sympathy, but by the unifying force of the movement.
“Atiku is a peaceful unifier and is not tribalistic, having been close to the people of South East in all ramifications”, Umere said.
