The former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi says, Nigeria have bad governance, hence his aspiration to become the President of Nigeria, come 2023 to correct issues.
Addressing the People’s Democratic Party, PDP faithful at the party Office in Umuahia, Obi said “you wake up in Nigeria every day, the only thing you will hear is killing, kidnapping, raping and so on. But some Nigerians don’t bother.
“These are as a result of cumulative efforts of leadership failure over the years”.
According to him, ” it is not going to get better, but it is going to get worst” and asked, “How can we arrest this beast and then turn it around?”
He lamented that as at date, “98 million Nigerians are living under poverty and not sure of food for today. This is happening in the land and Nigerians are moving as if nothing has happened.”
He posited that actual security will only work with food security, adding that he will change the country from consuming country to a producing one, stating further, “instead of sharing formula, we will have producing formula” if he becomes the President, come 2023.
He said “I am the one that will create the future” in Nigeria.
Responding, the Abia State chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP Rt. Hon. Alwell Asiforo Okere assured Peter Obi “at the appointed time, the party will speak” and urged him to continue with the gospel according to Peter”.
