A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress APC and former Senator that represented Abia Central Senatorial district, Mrs Nkechi Nwaogu says for APC to come out victorious in the 2023 general election the party must field it’s best candidates.
Sen. Nwaogu stated this Wednesday shortly after declaring her intention to run for the senatorial seat of Abia central under the All Progressive Congress APC.
The APC senatorial aspirant in the state noted that if elected to represent the district at the National Assembly, she would champion the course for gender equality and make sure that the gender equality bill that was rejected by the Senate is reversed.
A vote for her she said “is a vote for emancination, liberation, restoration and resuscitation of Abia Central from the shackles of misrepresentation and legislative redundancy.
“As a ranking Senator, I stand a better chance than anyone else to attract the much desired democracy dividend to ndi (people of) Abia Central”, she assured.
She called on the people to embrace APC at the state and national levels as the PDP-led government in Abia state has performed poorly both in human and infrastructural developments.
In a message the Minister of Mines and steel for state, Dr Uchechukwu Ogah represented by Chief Chibuzor Okogbue assured that the party was committed towards winning the seat of government in Abia state during the 2023 general election.
According to the former chairman of the party in the state, Donatus Nwankpa said that the party would secure victory both at the senatorial, state and federal levels during the 2023 general election in the country.
