The senator representing Abia North at the National Assembly, Orji Uzor Kalu says, Nigeria has a “listening President” in the person of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and should therefore appreciate that.

Kalu, who is the Chairman, Senate Committee on Privatisation, and former governor of Abia State stated this Saturday when he paid what he called “friendly visit” to President Tinubu who is spending his Christmas in Lagos.

Kalu in his office Facebook page stated, “I had to pay my friend and brother of the class of 1999 Governors, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, a friendly private visit to commend his courageous strides in sailing the course of the nation and also give him the benefit of an independent assessment of the areas that require his urgent attention”.

Kalu said the President “was so appreciative of the thoughtfulness of the visit” adding that Tinubu promised that the senator would, within a short while, see improvements on the issues he pointed out to him.

According to the senator, “Honestly, one thing I want Nigerians to know and appreciate, is the fact that we have a listening President, who is running a responsive and pragmatic government and hence, the need to be supported by all well meaning Nigerians”.

While wishing Nigerians Merry Christmas he advised all to “celebrate responsibility”, noting that January remains one of the hardest months in the year, when school fees, house rents and other responsibilities are to be fulfilled by parents, mentors, and guardians.
