A group of organizations have advised Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituents to jettison all forms of clannish sentiments and work towards towards the aggregate goal of growing the constituency.he organizations that cut across the constituency include Arochukwu Progressive Movement, Abiriba Progressive Alliance and Ohafia Democratic Assembly.
In their separate statements signed by their leaders, Elder Kalu Okoro, Dr. Kalu Ndubuisi Ukpai and Comrade Anya Eke respectively, the groups noted the cultural harmony existing between the Arochukwu, Ohafia and Abiriba components of the constituency.
According to them, the people of the constituency and the various Trustees, Executive and the entire members of the unions, “after due consultations and thorough assessment of their sons and daughters” with their members, have come to a conclusion that their preferred choice has been found, thus putting clannishness behind.
They maintained that by going for a common choice, that their aspiration can only be achieved through the endorsement of their preferred choice, Dr. Okuji Oreh to replace their out-going representative, Hon. Uko Nkole.
Dr. Oreh, the groups said “is a man of capacity, energy, consummate credentials and experience to provide us with quality representation at the National Assembly”.
They further stated, “This position is a product of diligent and critical consideration of who will best protect the interest of the people and the people only.
“We hope to be represented by someone who will give us robust and effective representation above selfishness”.
