Aside repositioning Abia, I will adopt political solutions to liberate Kanu – Prof. Ibe

Apart from repositioning Abia State in all sectors, the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA governorship candidate in the March 11 polls, Prof Greg Ibe says, one of his first assignments will be the release of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB leader who is being incarcerated by the Federal Government, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

Speaking with the leaders of religious groups in the state under the aegis of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN Prof. Ibe, who traced his early childhood experiences and his “tortuous” part to richness, said, “One of the first assignments I will undertake with the support of Sen. Abaribe (of Abia south), will be the release and rehabilitation of our son, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

“With the support of my collaboration in the United Nations, we shall adopt available political solutions in liberating Mazi Nnamdi Kanu”.

The akara seller with a humble childhood experience, and now paying back to the society assured, “If I become the governor, I will release that my brother, Kanu. I have been at Abuja and I know all and what it will take to effect his release”.

The Gregory University Uturu proprietor told the clergy men that he is not competing for the governor of the state with anybody and is even qualified to be the President of the country.

The decay in the state he said, is too much, where hospitals are not working, and workers, pensioners are owed, stating as the state governor, he will build general hospitals in each of the 17 LGAs of the state, adding, “I don’t want to be a king like my father, but a king to fetch souls for God’.

Prof. Ibe who was challenged by sicknesses immediately elections were to start, disclosed, “I was subjected to sufferings. I am now in the process of recovery and they are afraid.

“They said I have been amputated at the leg, and even said I am dead, but I called them on phone to tell them that I am alive. The will of God will be done in this world.

“They even said I was given money to be a governor. I have not received any kobo from anybody and nobody is my godfather. I don’t have any”.

As a governor, he said “I will encourage every church to go into farming. I will do even development in Abia, not sectional development from where I come from.

“I have even re-designed the state capital as well as every local government. I also have a 15-year plan for Ndigbo which I will unveil when I become the governor”.

Responding, the clergy, led by the state Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN Snr Apostle Emmanuel Agonmuo and the state chairman, Pentecostal Federation of Nigeria, PFN Bishop Chikezie Elekwa prayed God to hear Prof. Greg Ibe’s prayers.

They urged Christian denominations in the state to pray for him.
