The Special Adviser to the Governor on Investment Promotion and Public Private Partnership, PPP Chief Jerome Green-Amakwe says the Abia-Turkiye Investment Summit and Product Exhibition will contribute immensely to the growth of the state economy.

Chief Green-Amakwe stated this during a meeting held with the Speaker and members of the Abia State House of Assembly in Umuahia, where he sought the collaboration of the House Members to the successful hosting of the Summit.

He noted that as a developed economy with expertise in technology, the partnership with Turkish Government would create job opportunities as well as showcase other economic potential of the State.

Green-Amakwe, who doubles as Chairman of the Abia-Turkey Investment Summit committee, while stressing the importance of support from Members of the House, informed that the summit would create a favorable business environment for Abia citizens in Nigeria as well as extend the goodwill to those living and plying their trades in Turkey.

“We cannot do it alone at the Executive. We need the cooperation and collaboration of the House of Assembly, hence my visit. And from the assurances I have gotten from them, they will participate in the forthcoming Abia Investment Summit come 25th to 27th of this month.

“This summit is all about attracting investment from across Nigeria, Africa and the world at large, with particular partnership with Turkey”, Green-Amakwe said.
